successful slave revolution in history.
THE STORY OF. . . this great leaders’ tragic
dilemma: To keep allegiance to the France
that had broken its promises of “Liberty,
Equality, and Fraternity” for all in the
motherland, and in the French colonies,
(made during the French Revolution) while
seeking independent rule and freedom
forever for his Black people in the colony of
San Domingo.
THE STORY OF. . . a man both politician
and revolutionary, fighting a war with two
faces: one of secret negotiations with the
oppressors, hoping that right would win out,
and one of violent military opposition to the
oppressors to keep them from reinstating
slavery.
In this time of worldwide revolution, there
are lessons we all can learn from the story
of one of the world’s greatest
revolutionaries:
Toussaint L’Ouverture.

SERIES "SNIPE'S WORLD"
James A. "Buddy" Snipe, creates
fascinating abstract painting/sculpture
pieces, made of colorfully painted pieces of
tin, animal bone, wood, etc. that tell stories
of real life and of pure fantasy. Dyann
Robinson and Bill Perry have woven these
stories into a fun-filled musical play that
gives a glimpse into this Macon County
artists imaginative mind that is "Snipe's
World", where mermaids, a talking King
Snake and the Devil and his Shadow, live
side by side with blues singing, storytelling,
church going, human beings. It's an
adventure you don't want to miss!!
LONELY EAGLES
LONELY EAGLES (The Tuskegee Airmen
Meet Josephine Baker) by Dyann
Robinson. A two character drama with
dance and music based on the real life
occasion when the first of the famous
Tuskegee Airmen were entertained by the
great African American entertainer,
Josephine Baker, soon after their arrival in
North Africa on their first mission in WWII.
AN EVENING WITH ELLINGTON, THE
DUKE
The TRT Orchestra, and the TRT Singers
and Swingers, invite all who are young at
heart, to join them in a cabaret setting, as
they bring to life the music of America’s
greatest and perhaps most prolific
composer, the one and only Duke Ellington.
Hear the singing, and see the swinging to
the Duke’s songs like “Satin Doll”, “Mood
Indigo”, “Sophisticated Lady”, “It Don’t
Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)”,
and thrill to excerpts from his extended
orchestral pieces, and his famous “Second
Sacred Concert”.
ROYAL SISTAHS
"ROYAL SISTAHS", written, directed, and
performed by Dyann Robinson. A one
woman play about four great ancient
African queens: Egyptian queens,
Hapshesut, and Nefertiti; Makeda, the
Queen of Sheba, and Nzingha, Queen of
Ndongo, later called Angola by the
Portuguese.
"THE BROKER"
Booker T. Washington was the first
Principal, (President) of the school, now
known as Tuskegee University. He was the
one who took the first steps in building this
great institution, which became world
renown under his leadership. Considered
by many the "Founder", he was in fact, the
great "Builder" of Tuskegee University.
Lewis Adams, however, was the cause
operating before the school came into
being. He was the one whose action gave
rise to the school that Booker T.
Washington first led and built; hence Lewis
Adams can be justly called the true
"Founder" of Tuskegee University. This play
tells his story.
TOBY'S MY BROTHER & BEETHOVEN
TOO!!
"TOBY'S MY BROTHER & BEETHOVEN
TOO'", written and directed by Dyann
Robinson. In this historical fantasy, a 1823
slave rebellion, led by a young slave named
Toby inspires three great European artists
of African descent to use their art forms,
and their renown as artists, as a way to
fight for their total respect and freedom as
men of color. The artists are Ludwig van
Beethoven, Aleksander Sergeevich Puskin,
and Alexandre Dumas pere.
REVOLT IN STORYLAND
"REVOLT IN STORYLAND" (The Musical)
is a new musical treat for young and old!!
The familiar characters in the "Tales of
Mother Goose" demand a "Change" in their
age-old stories. Mother Goose refuses, and
a revolt ensues. All will enjoy this rousing,
hilarious and fantastical twist, to a frequent,
real life, social outcry. "REVOLT IN
STORYLAND" (The Musical), adapted by
Dyann Robinson, with music by Bill Perry
and Dyann Robinson, from "REVOLT IN
STORYLAND " (The play) by Marie Moore
Lyles.
THE COTTON CLUB COMES TO
'SKEGEE'
"THE COTTON CLUB COMES TO
'SKEGEE'", written and directed by Dyann
Robinson. An historical fantasy in which
performers from the famous Harlem
nightclub are transported to Tuskegee,
Alabama in the 21st century, where people
of all races can come to see them perform,
unlike in Harlem, in the 20's and 30's, when
only whites were allowed to patronize the
Cotton Club. The show features a live
orchestra, and great singing and dancing to
the music of Duke Ellington, and Cab
Calloway and other famous Black
musicians of the day.
THE WIVES OF BOOKER T
THE WIVES OF BOOKER T., by Dyann
Robinson. This is the story of the three
wives of Booker T. Washington. They are
the virtually unsung heroines without whom
there may not have been a Tuskegee
Univerisity as we know it, or a Booker T.
Washington as we remember him.
REMBERING “SAMMY”
REMBERING “SAMMY” by Dyann
Robinson. This is the story of Sammy L.
Younge, Jr., the Tuskegee Institute student
who was the first student killed in the Civil
Rights Movement.
GENESIS
GENESIS (A Rap Opera), the story of the
first book of the Bible told in rap, with an
original electronic score by Tuskegee native
Milton Davis, Jr., and script by Dyann
Robinson.
